1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Re-Defining the P.S.I. definition and specification for OCC
Description: OCC has become the dominant grade of recovered fiber. As mills use more recovered fiber they are becoming more diligent about fiber yields. This is creating increased awareness of the type of OCC they use….”normal” OCC out of MRFs, “grocery” OCC, “Asian” OCC, “post-industrial OCC, etc… With 30+ million tons traded in North America many suggest it is now time to have several official PSI grades for OCC, each with an explicit definition. Join the discussion during this important session. What could these changes mean for retailers and other generators of material, U.S. paper stock dealers and mills?
